Join Melanie for Batik-Inspired Clay Carving over Underglaze Discover the beauty of Batik-inspired designs using layered underglaze techniques on unfired white clay. In this hands-on class, you'll explore the process of applying multiple layers of underglaze to create rich, patterned surfaces. We'll then carve through the layers to reveal dynamic designs, using various carving tools to bring texture and detail to life. Each participant will shape their decorated slab into a small dish or tray. What to bring: A pencil and a pony roller. All other materials will be provided.
